CowPotato Feedback Requested!

CowPotato fans, we haven’t forgot about you!  It’s been a little over 2 months since we released the beta of CowPotato for the android developer challenge….which btw we still have no idea what the results are!  By this time we had hoped to have delivered multiple game-play enhancements.  However, the sad truth is we’ve been catching our breath (pretty much ran the gauntlet trying to get CP finished in time for the contest) and the updates we released have all dealt with performance issues in the background.  Building a 3D game is by no means a simple task and performance is a huge concern.  For example, we had hoped to have added flying cows, grazing cows and various other animations in the game-play by now which we could have done, BUT it would have exponentially increased the game loading time which we’re trying to avoid at all costs.  We have a plan to help minimize impact to the loading time and we’re actively working on game-play enhancements.  However, to continue making progress WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!!!!  More »

Fragmentation, UHG!

When I was in the Army, we dealt with fragmentation all the time.  “watch out out for ballistic fragmentation…”  “make sure to wear your fragmentation vest at all times down range…” etc…. But now, I get the pleasure of battling an entirely new fragmentation!  Android fragmentation!  More »

Wish Us Luck for ADC 2! CowPotato™ Has Been Submitted!

As many of you are aware, we’ve been working on a new android game CowPotato™. After 3 hard months of design and build we finally have a version ready for the android developer challenge! As soon as ADC 2 kicks-off, hopefully any day now, you’ll be able to judge the app for yourself. Please keep in mind that ADC terms and conditions do not allow any updates to be made to application during the judging process. We find this frustrating considering we plan on making MANY updates to the game-play etc. In my opinion, how developers support their applications should absolutely be one of the merits applications/games are judged against. So, as part of our commitment to offer outstanding support for CowPotato, we will continue to have a “beta” version available in the android marketplace. We’ll use this version to showcase the latest updates etc. We greatly appreciate user feedback so keep it coming! I can assure you you’re requests will not fall on deaf ears! Key Ring and a2b Nominated for Android Awards!

That’s right, not one but BOTH of our Froogloid apps were nominated for Android Awards!  a2b was nominated for the best GPS/location based app and Key Ring was nominated for the best shopping app. This may seem trivial to some but to us it means the world!  It’s an absolute honor to be nominated for these awards and it feels incredibly awesome to have the android community show their appreciation for our apps.  More »
