Android Market Server Errors!

February 20th, 2009 Posted in Froogloid

Quick update… I now have access to fee based downloads via my phone!  Very Exciting!  There’s only one problem, every time I try to download an app I get a server error!   No wonder google/T-Mobile rolled out fee based downloads on a phased approach.  The servers can’t handle the load!  For those wishing to download a2b, and hopefully there several of you out there, my advice would be keep trying :)  Eventually you should get success.

Btw, quick comment on the other fee based downloads I’ve seen.  Apparently, a2b is one heck of good deal!  Very few apps are selling for 99 cents and the ones that are, are very 1 dimensional….i.e. fart app,  paper rock scissors etc… nothing against these apps but comparatively for what you get for the money, a2b is one heck of deal!  Camera!  Voice Recording!  Free Text Notes!  GPS!  Navigation!  Terrific Graphics!  User Friendly! Unlimited Stored Locations! :)  But hey, maybe I’m a little biased :)

Here’s a couple screenshots of the server error I’m seeing:

***UPDATE***

I finally figured out why I’m seeing the above error when trying to purchase a2b but not with other app purchases.  Merchants cannot purchase their own apps.  ooops!
