In the meantime just manually add the retailer by typing the number without the special character. Test it at the gym and see if they recognize your membership ID by scanning it…

FYI, we've identified the fix for special characters… now we just need to make the code changes. Stay tuned.

I'm confused. I can't enter a number and have a scanable barcode generated, can I? If the key ring card only contains the number it requires the desk person to type it in, which will make me unpopular there. I'll look for the special character support.

Well, I bet your membership ID does not include these special characters. If it doesn't I'm sure you'll be fine. Nonetheless we do plan on fixing this.

You are correct! The number as shown beneath the barcode begins with a #. If I type in the number without the # my guess is that it will not scan correctly.

Does you card have a special character such as; * @ &? If so this is why your Boston sports club barcode is not showing. It's a know bug and we hope to fix it soon. In the meantime, add your BSC card manually by typing in the numbers but with no special characters.

Love the concept of Key Ring but am having trouble using it. I added a few common barcode cards – CVS, Shop & Shop, etc. but when I scanned my health club card (Boston Sports Club), the card only shows the number of my account, not the bar code. Why is this? Any way to fix it? Fewer cards in my wallet is better.

I'm liking all of this. I love a2b, I can't believe it took me so long to find it. And Keyring couldn't possibly come fast enough. I'm ecstatic at the thought of it and I have got tons of friends waiting to see if it is as amazing as I am saying. I wait with baited breath………
